GET THEM FIT, GET THEM MOVING!
With Coronavirus enforced lockdown in effect, we have endured testing times these last few months. But as with everything, we must adapt and endure in hope for better times to come. Kids are much more resilient that way. kudos to all the kids who have been forced to sit at home in self-isolation, much against their nature, but have wonderfully adapted themselves
In keeping up with this spirit, we are now starting our Spartans classes online, doing our bit to help keep these wonderful kids fruitfully engaged.
So how is it delivered?
Spartans classes will now be offered via a virtual medium in the form of “Live” classes. This means children will be able to log in, participate and interact with their coaches and other kids through video conferencing.
Will it be effective?
The first step to analyzing the effectiveness of a program is to understand its goals and the quality of delivery. While our specific program goals have slightly altered in view of the limitations of a virtual environment, the broader goals of physical, social and emotional well-being remain the same. Additionally, we will still be having our beloved coaches back taking all those incredible classes that the kids have come to enjoy so far!
On that note, while we believe a virtual class can never replace a contact-class in unlocking the full potential of the Spartans program, we are confident that the new Spartans Program at Home can deliver the key aspects that it intends to such as physical fitness, maintaining a routine, virtual interaction, imagination & fair-play etc.
